@jack I had the same reflection a few weeks back and was thinking about moving it all to Obsidian (though I don’t pay for Roam Research).
In the end, I decided that the main reason for using Roam Research is to commit my self to start using my notes in a different way. The problem is never the tool. Since then I made sure to set aside time to:

  • Each morning revisit and improve a random page
  • Do most of my writing directly within Roam Research
  • Before writing search for relevant terms in Roam Research and create additional pages if needed
